Thomas Cannery Building

Thomas Cannery Building

Project Description

Henley Construction Co. Inc. completed the historic renovation of the Thomas Cannery, a building that dates backs to 1910 and is on the National Registry of Historical Buildings.

Junior Achievement Finance Park

Project Description

The Junior Achievement Finance Park is a unique joint venture between Junior Achievement of the National Capitol Area and Fairfax County Public Schools. The new 20,200 square foot building, located adjacent to the Robert Frost Middle School, was constructed by Henley Construction Co., Inc. and designed by Gensler of Washington D.C.

Poolesville High School
Science Addition

Project Description

This stand-alone addition was constructed by Henley Construction Co. Inc. Serving the magnet science program, the new facility provides program spaces for Grades 9-12. The two story addition has three science labs on each floor including separate preparation rooms and material storage facilities.

Mercer Middle School

Project Description

Mercer Middle School is located in Aldie Virginia and was designed by Moseley Architects of Harrisonburg, Virginia. This new facility has state of the art classrooms, media center gymnasium and associated site amenities including soccer and softball fields.

The Village at Rockville- A National Lutheran Community

Project Description

Henley Construction Co., Inc. has completed the final of 8 phases in the Residential Living Program portion of The Village at Rockville – A National Lutheran Community. Phase VIII’s structures are composed of over 19,000 square feet of wood framed residences and all include functioning kitchens as well as all other residential amenities.

Walter Johnson High School

Project Description

The Construction Management (CM) Contract for the modernization of the existing portions of Walter Johnson High School for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) was the fourth and largest in a series of 5 separate contracts partnered between Henley Construction Co., Inc. and MCPS over a 10 year period to fully modernize the complete school campus.

Fields Road Elementary School

Project Description

Fields Road Elementary School located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, was designed by Proffitt & Associates out of Frederick, Maryland. The project consisted of a 25,162 square foot wrap-around wing addition, miscellaneous site improvements and interior renovations of an existing 46,623 square foot area school facility that was originally constructed by Henley Construction Co., Inc. for Montgomery County Public Schools in the early 1970’s.

Glasgow Middle School

Project Description

Glasgow Middle School, designed by Ballou Justice Upton Architects in Richmond, Virginia, was a facility replacement project for the existing Glasgow Middle School located in Fairfax County, Virginia. This was an exciting, fast paced project for Fairfax County Public Schools that involved constructing a new two-story 200,000 square foot middle school on the ball field of the existing Glasgow Middle School.

Lake Braddock Secondary School

Project Description

The Lake Braddock Secondary School Project in Burke, VA was designed by Samaha Associates, PC of Fairfax, VA and involved 80,000 square feet of addition and 520,000 square feet of renovation while the building was occupied by more than 4,000 students.

Lakelands Park Middle School

Project Description

The new 148,065 square foot Lakelands Park Middle School is located in the town of Kentlands/Lakelands, Maryland and was designed by Grimm and Parker Architects of Calverton, MD to fit the "New Urbanist" fabric of the community. This is one of the largest middle schools in Maryland.

National Lutheran Lobby

Project Description

The National Lutheran Home and Village Lobby Renovation project was designed by RLPS Architects of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. By renovating the main lobby area, we provided a more open and inviting entry experience for residents, employees and visitors.

Nottingham Elementary School

Project Description

The renovation and additions to Nottingham Elementary School were designed by Samaha Associates, PC of Fairfax, VA. With its past history and location within an established Fairfax, VA neighborhood, Nottingham Elementary represents the small neighborhood schools of our past.

Northwest High School

Project Description

Northwest High School in Germantown, MD was designed by Samaha Associates, PC of Fairfax, VA. We have constructed two major additions (2001 and 2006) and minor renovations that increased the student capacity of the school from 1,350 to 2,000.

Woodburn School for the Fine & Communicative Arts

Project Description

The renovation and additions to Woodburn School for the Fine & Communicative Arts, located in Falls Church, VA, include 10 new classrooms, a state-of-the-art media center, a music room, an art suite and an expansion of the office and lobby designed by The Marshall Group of Reston, VA.

East Silver Spring Elementary School

Project Description

The renovation and additions of East Silver Spring Elementary School were designed by Delmar Associates of Olney, Maryland. The existing 86,952 square foot facility was upgraded with two new state- of-the-art, double story classroom additions totaling an additional 40,432 square feet.
